方君璧（1898-1986） 生于清光绪二十四年，福建闽侯人。1912年赴法留学，作为第一位中国女性考入国立巴黎高等美术学校。

潘玉良等几位）之一。1924年方君璧的作品《吹笛女》作为第一幅中国女性的作品入选巴黎美术展览

会，当时巴黎各报竞相刊登她的照片和作品，被誉为东方杰出的女画家，同一时期的代表作品有《拈花凝
思》。1925年回国在广东大学执教，其艺术极为岭南艺术界所推重，国民政府以巨金购得她的作品，挂于
中山纪念堂。1926年方君璧重游法国，在国立高等美术学校校长勃纳尔画室进修两年。1933年与丈夫曾仲
鸣回国，除油画外，她还开始画国画。抗日胜利后，方君璧举办了轰动上海滩的大规模个人画展。1949年
去法国，后移居美国。1972年回国，周恩来总理接见了她。1978年作为第一个海外的中国画家被邀请在美
术馆举办画展。1984年巴黎博物馆为她举办了方君璧从画六十年回顾展，给予这位在巴黎起步的东方女画
家的业绩以充分的肯定。

Born in the 24th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, he was a native of
Minhou, Fujian. In 1912, she went to France to study and was the first Chinese woman admitted
to the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In China in the 1920s, there were
very few female painters who rose to prominence in society, and Fang Junbi was one of the
very few at that time (only Guan Zilan, Cai William, Pan Yuliang, etc.). In 1925, she returned to
China to teach at Guangdong University. Her art was highly praised by the Lingnan art circle.
The Nationalist Government paid a huge sum of money to purchase her works and hang them
in the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. In 1926, she returned to France and studied for two years in
the studio of Bonnard, the president of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. In 1933,
she returned to China with her husband Zeng Zhongming. In addition to oil paintings, she also
began to paint traditional Chinese paintings. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, she
held a large-scale personal exhibition that caused a sensation in Shanghai. He went to France
in 1949 and later immigrated to the United States. When she returned to China in 1972, Premier
Zhou Enlai met with her. In 1978, he was the first overseas Chinese painter invited to hold an
exhibition in an art museum. In 1984, the Paris Museum held the Retrospective Exhibition of
Fang Junbi's Sixty Years in Painting for her, fully affirming the achievements of this oriental
female painter who started in Paris.

Born in Handan, Hebei, Fang Lijun graduated from the printmaking department of the China
Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1989. He is now a professional painter and a representative
artist of Cynical Realism, a major art movement in China post-1989. His works capture the
disillusionment of a generation after the Tiananmen Square incident and reflect the helpless
mentality of Chinese society in the early 1990s. Fang lives and works in Beijing. Solo Exhibition:
