唐永祥（b.1977） 1977 年生于湖北，现工作和生活于北京。以生活图像为绘画创作的入口，唐永祥针对画面上形与形、色
TANG YONGXIANG 与色之间随着绘画时间而不断生产出的新关系进行工作。这些图像通常撷取自艺术家的生活轨迹，且并无
强烈的意义和指向性。比起任意改变图像中的既有关系，唐永祥更倾向于在既有结构的基础上、与图像进

行克制而持久的拉锯，使画面得以呈现出艺术家数次犹豫、判断与思维的痕迹。在这一绘画过程中，偶然

Contemporary painter Tang Yongxiang was born in Hubei, China, in 1977 and graduated with
an MFA from the painting department at Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, Hubei, China in 2007.
Since then, he has focused his practice on deconstructing the two-dimensional image or
visual, charging his canvasses with multiple layers through which an idea, a fragment or a
consciousness slowly emerges. With this abstract figurative style, he often half finishes his
objects, marking a line between representation and reality. He currently lives and works in
Beijing. Tang's works have featured in solo exhibitions including Tang Yongxiang, Magician
Space, Beijing, China (2014) and HIDE, Hemuse Gallery, Beijing, China (2014). Group shows
include Nocturnal Friendships, Lehmann Maupin Hong Kong (2015); XXX – The Next 10 Years of

Born in Songxi County, Fujian Province in 1976, graduated from the Oil Painting Department of
the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2000 and currently lives in Beijing.
