Beijing's 798 Art Zone and started to focus on researching the ancient religions of the nomadic
hunting tribes of northern China. After 2004, his artistic expression shifted from performance
art to installations, multimedia, painting, and photography, attempting to enter the belief in
the spirituality of all things and to express the relationship between man and nature. In recent
years, Cang Xin's artistic context has touched on the origins of human life and the universe. His
works attempt to depict a world that originates from ancient legends and myths, is mysterious
and imaginative, and represents Oriental civilization while foreshadowing the future.

Born in February 1954 in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, Cao graduated in 1982 from the Central
Academy of Fine Arts, where he currently serves as a professor and the dean of the Mural

陈宝荪（b.1924） 生于1924年，师承颜文樑，并受其油画的技法和表现力最强、最丰富，好比音乐中的交响乐观点的影响，
CHEN BAOSUN 从而专注油画创作，并长期担任颜文樑助手。

Born in 1924, Chen Baosun studied under Yan Wenliang and was influenced by his view that the
technique and expressiveness of oil painting are the strongest and richest, akin to symphonies
in music. This led her to focus on oil painting and serve as Yan Wenliang's assistant for a long
time.
