Born in Shenyang in 1972, Liaoning Province, Cai Zhisong graduated from the Sculpture
Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing in 1997. He obtained a Post-graduate
diploma from the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing in 2001.
He is a member of the Association of Chinese Sculpture and the sculpture committee of the
Chinese Association of Arts and Crafts.

苍鑫（b.1967） 1967年出生于内蒙古，满族。他在1986年至1989年期间先后在天津音乐学院、南开大学和天津美术学院
CANG XIN 学习音乐、艺术和哲学课程，1991年开始绘画。1993年进住北京东村，开始了艺术创作生涯。苍鑫以行为
艺术而知名。虽然早期作品受到西方流派的影响，但更注重身体力行、营造现场氛围，并强调观者参与创

作交流。他的作品不同于80年代流行的简单表现愤世和反叛，更多地反映了当下人类现实生存的束缚和焦
虑。代表作品包括《为无名山增高一米》、《舔》、《洗澡》、《身份互换》等。2002年开始在798艺术
区进行创作，并开始关注和研究中国北方狩猎游牧民族的古老宗教。2004年后，他的艺术表达方式发生转
变，从行为艺术转向装置、多媒体、绘画和摄影等跨界领域，试图从万物有灵的信奉切入，表现人与自然
的关系。年来，苍鑫的艺术语境涉及到人类生命乃至宇宙的本源。这些作品试图描绘一个源自古老传说和
神话、神秘且富有想象力、代表东方文明又预示未来的世界。

Born in 1967 in Inner Mongolia, Cang studied music, art, and philosophy at the Tianjin
Conservatory of Music, Nankai University, and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts from 1986 to 1989.
He began painting in 1991 and moved to Beijing's East Village in 1993, starting his artistic
career. Cang is known for his performance art, emphasizing physical actions, creating an on-
site atmosphere, and highlighting viewer participation in creative exchanges. His early works,
though influenced by Western styles, focused more on actual experiences and the creation
of interactive atmospheres, rather than the simple expressions of discontent and rebellion
popular in the 1980s. Representative works include To Add One Meter to an Unknown Mountain
