thematic orientation in Jiang Huan's recent painting art in the pursuit of pictorial modernity.
In addition, there is a certain aura on Jiang Huan's works that is strong and inescapable, such
as laziness, ambiguity, and weariness that converge into a sense of what Martin Dulleman calls
existential boredom. This deep boredom of modern people, like Heidegger's "fog of silence",
permeates the faces of every figure in Jiang Huan's oil paintings, thus forming the unique
"cold beauty" style of his works. Although the skin of the figures is delicately depicted in the
delicate gray tones, and the bodies of men and women are intertwined, the eyes are hollow,
the smiles are forced, and the emotions are not compatible. In Jiang Huan's recent paintings,
the despondency of the bodies of urban men and women is made more poignant by a splash of
pink on the cold-toned images. Through the conveyance of various modern urban experiences,
Jiang Huan's realistic paintings of the body present strong individual characteristics and visual
modernity.Main Exhibitions:December 6-15, 2018 "Forward - Contemporary Art Exhibition",
