Born in Shandong Province, China. In 1982, he studied at Qinghua University Art College,
Beijing. In 1986, he graduated from Qinghua University Art College, Beijing. In 1989, he lived
and worked in Vienna. From 1987 to 2005, his works took part in many exhibitions. In recent
years, Ling Jian established an esthetic style of human figure paint- ing in his artistic works,
representing a reformed, static body. For the artist, most of the characters in his works come
from his daily life: what he sees and feels. More importantly, being away from his homeland for
many years, he has undergone substantial changes in terms of taste and value concepts. His
artistic creation is the response he's made to the world.

Liu Chuang was born in Hubei in 1978 and currently lives and works in Shanghai. He graduated
from Hubei Academy of Fine Arts in 2001. His creations examine the current situation of society
through social intervention and institutional criticism. In his videos, installations, architecture
and performance works, Liu Chuang integrates his delicate emotions and keen awareness of
absurdity into banal ready-made objects and intervention methods.
Liu's recent solo exhibitions include Segmented Landscape at the K11 art village, Wuhan (2015);
Untitled (The Dancing Partner) at Kunsthall Stavanger (2014); Love Story at Salon 94, New York
(2014); and Liu Chuang: Works #16 -21 at LEO XU PROJECTS, Shanghai (2012). His work has
