Born in Beijing in 1961, Li Wei graduated from the Special Arts and Crafts Department of the
Central Academy of Arts in 1983, majoring in mural painting. In 1989, he commenced a journey
across deserts, snowy mountains, and the Gobi in search of a source of creativity. In 2016,
he began creating the oil painting series Bo Loulan, centred around the theme of ecological
civilization.

Born in Luoyang in 1982, graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Mural Painting
Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2006, and obtained a master's degree from
the Mural Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2011. Currently, he lives
and works in Beijing.
