陈逸飞（1946-2005） 浙江镇海人。1964年毕业于上海美术专科学校，入上海画院油画雕塑创作室，曾任油画组负责人。1980年

Born in Zhenhai, Zhejiang. Chen Yifei graduated from Shanghai Fine Arts College in 1964, joined the
oil painting and sculpture studio of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, and served as the head of the
oil painting group. In 1980, he went to the United States and engaged in oil painting creation in New
York. He held personal exhibitions in Washington, New York, Tokyo and other places.

David Diao began making paintings in 1964, nine years after moving to New York from Hong
Kong. He received his B.A. from Kenyon College and was on faculty at the Whitney Museum
Independent Study Program from 1970 to 2000. In 2015, the Ullens Center for Contemporary
Art, in Beijing, staged a retrospective of 115 works, his largest-ever exhibition. Other recent
exhibitions include: M+ Sigg Collection: From Revolution to Globalisation, M+ Museum, Hong
Kong (2021); New York: The 1980s; Part II, Consortium Museum, Dijon, France (2019); Bauhaus:
topia in Crisis, Camberwell Space, London, U.K. (2019); Whitney Biennial 2014, The Whitney
Museum of American Art, New York, U.S.A (2014). Diao's works are included in the collection
