Lot 1565 Belgium. He is now an associate professor at Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts and council
member of China Artists' Association. His oil painting Father won the first prize at the 2nd
National Youth Art Exhibition in 1981. He has held solo shows at Harvard University, in Beijing,
Taiwan, and Belgium. His works have been collected by National Art Museum of China and
other overseas collectors and art institutions.

Lot 1562
Marie Laurencin (1883-1956) was a French painter and printmaker. Studying porcelain painting
at sèvres in 1901, she continued her studies at the Ember Academy. her first solo exhibition
was held in 1907, followed by major exhibitions at Barbazanges in 1912 and at P. Rosenberg in
1920. She produced stage designs for Diaghilev's "Ballets Russes" and sets for the "Comédie-
Française" in 1928.
