严力（b.1954） 1954年出生于北京。他于1973年开始诗歌创作，1979年开始绘画创作并于同一年成为民间艺术团体“星星
Yan Li 画会”的成员，他曾经参加过两届“星星画展”的展出。1984年在上海人民公园展室首次举办个人画展，
这次展览是当时最前卫的个人画展。严力于1985年留学美国纽约。他曾于1985年至2002年在香港、法国、

英国、美国、日本、瑞典、大陆和台湾等地举办过个人画展或参与过集体展。他的画作曾被上海美术馆等
以及诸多个人藏家所收藏。

Yan Li was born in Beijing in 1954. He began writing poetry in 1973. In 1979 he began painting
and became a member of the folk-art group “Star Painting Society”. He has participated in two
exhibitions with this group. In 1984 he held his first solo exhibition in the exhibition room of the
126 Shanghai People’s Park, and it was the most avant-garde exhibition of its time. Yan Li studied
in New York in 1985. He participated in group exhibitions and held solo exhibitions in Hong
Kong, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Sweden, Mainland China, and
Taiwan from 1965 to 2002. His paintings have been collected by the Shanghai Art Museum and
is included in many private collections.

严培明（b.1960） 1960年出生于上海。他是最具国际知名度、最早进入西方艺术界和艺术市场的中国当代艺术家之一，以
Yan Peiming 黑、白、红单色巨幅肖像享誉艺术界，曾获选第一届艺术与设计大奖赛。他以犀利有力、细腻且悲剧性的
笔触刻画不同个体的生存状态和精神世界，进而探讨人类发展进程中的战争、贫困、不公、生命、死亡等

社会命题。1991年其作品进入巴黎蓬皮杜艺术中心，后多次在欧洲著名机构举办个展，并参加过威尼斯双
年展、里昂双年展等众多国际大展。2009年他成为第一个在卢浮宫举办个展的在世当代艺术家，作品由卢
浮宫永久收藏。同年获得法国骑士荣誉勋章。2010年上海世博会期间，新作《上海的孩子》代表法国在国
家馆外展出。主要个展：2014 “这样死，这样活”严培明新作展，天安时间当代艺术中心，北京。主要群

Yan Peiming was born in Shanghai in 1960. He is one of the most internationally renowned
Chinese contemporary artists who entered the Western art world and the art market at the
earliest. In 1991, his works entered the Centre Pompidou in Paris. He also held solo exhibitions
in other famous European institutions and participated in the Venice Biennale. In 2009, he
became the first contemporary artist to hold a solo exhibition at the Louvre, whose work was
permanently collected by the Louvre. In the same year, he won the French Knight Medal of
Honor. Major solo exhibition: “Yan Pei-Ming: Dead and Alive”, Beijing Center for the Arts,
