Zhang’s paintings present a cultural and geographical fluidity, which interrogates the palimpsest
nature of contemporary culture and the paradoxes of our information age. As a digital native, Zhang
explores being a passive recipient in a growing digital world, and makes apparent the fragmented
and sporadicways in which we consume information. One device used is alternating painterly layers
– a direct response to the superimposed nature of digital media. As we experience an expanding
abundance of visual materials, Zhang queries the artist’ authorship and authority in the use of their
derivations and iterations, as well as contradictions of this information age.solo exhibitions: 2021

张钊瀛（b.1988） 1988年生于广州，2013年毕业于四川美术学院，2015年毕业于布鲁塞尔艺术学院，现任教于四川美术学
ZHANG ZHAOYING 院。作品获得中国美术馆、白兔美术馆、今日美术馆、JANVANDERTOGTMUSEUM、重庆美术馆、罗中立美
术馆等收藏。

Zhang Zhao Ying was born in Guangzhou in 1988, graduated from Sichuan Academy of Fine
Arts in 2013, graduated from Brussels Academy of Art in 2015, and now teaches at Sichuan
Academy of Fine Arts. His works have been collected by the National Art Museum of China,
White Rabbit Art Museum, Today Art Museum, JAN VAN DER TOGT MUSEUM, Chongqing Art
Museum, Luo Zhongli Art Museum, etc.

赵刚（b.1954） 1961年生于北京，年仅18岁时参加星星画会—此团体是最早的前卫艺术家群体，为中国当代艺术的发展
ZHAO GANG 铺设了重要基石。此后，他在欧洲和纽约接受了正规的艺术教育，并于纽约生活、工作二十余年。在此期

Born in Beijing in 1961, Zhao Gang joined the Stars Painting Society at the age of 18 - the
earliest group of avant-garde artists that paved the way for the development of contemporary
art in China. Thereafter, he received a formal art education in Europe and New York, where he
lived and worked for over twenty years. During this time, his taste has gradually developed a
distinctly international character and he has created works with a diverse range of styles. He
has participated in the New York Biennial of Performing Arts, the Guangzhou Triennial, and the
Yokohama Triennial; had a solo exhibition "Sick Man" at the Today Art Museum in Beijing; and
has exhibited his works in the United States, Germany, China, France, and Japan.

赵文静（b.1980） 山东东营人，现为山东建筑大学艺术学院教师，齐鲁书画研究院一级画家，山东美协会员，山东文艺评论
DUMA Z. 家协会会员。2004年毕业于曲阜师范大学美术学院读本科，中国画专业，2007年获得曲阜师范大学硕士学
位。主要从事中国山水画、花鸟画教学与创作，作品近年来多次参加国内外重要展览并被收藏。

Zhao Wenjing, born in Dongying, Shandong, is now a teacher of the Art College of Shandong
Jianzhu University, a first-class painter of Qilu Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute,
a member of Shandong Artists Association, and a member of Shandong Literary Critics As-
sociation. In 2004, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Qufu Normal University as an
undergraduate, majoring in Chinese painting. In 2007, he obtained a master's degree from Qufu
