Cagnes-Sur-Mer International Painting Festival. In 1999, Ai Xuan was included as one of the
representative artists of modern Chinese Art in Professor Michael Sullivan's Art of China.
In 2015, Ai Xuan was awarded the Chevalier Medal for Oriental Art by the Belgian Federal
Parliament for his contribution to the cultural exchange between the East and the West. In
the same year, he was awarded the European Art Star by the European Parliament. Ai Xuan's
works have been widely collected by museums and private collectors in China and around the
world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, the
National Art Museum of China, Long Museum, Shanghai, the Song Art Museum in Beijing, and
the Guy and Myriam Ullens Foundation.

陈逸飞（1946-2005） 1946年生，浙江镇海人。1965年毕业于上海美术专科学校，入上海画院油画雕塑创作室，曾任油画组负责
CHEN YIFEI 人。1980年赴美国留学，1984年获艺术硕士学位，后在纽约从事油画创作并在华盛顿、纽约、东京等地举
办个人画展，作品被博物馆和收藏家广泛收藏。上世纪90年代之前主要从事油画创作，后进入商界，创办
Lot 1712
逸飞集团。作为画家，他于上世纪60~70年代创作了《黄河颂》、《占领总统府》、《踱步》等知名的优秀
油画作品。
移居美国后，在美国成为第一位与世界最权威的玛勃洛(MARLBOROUGH)画廊签约的亚洲画家，曾在华盛
顿、纽约、东京等地举办个人画展，作品多次参加香港和国内的油画精品拍卖会，其作品《罂粟花》以387
万港币创下其作品拍卖的最高价格。
1984年，陈逸飞以水乡周庄为素材创作的油画《故乡的回忆》，连同他的其他37幅作品，在纽约哈默画廊
展出，画廊主人—美国西方石油公司董事长阿曼德·哈默当年11月访华时，将这幅作品作为礼物送给了邓
小平同志，被各界传为佳话。甚至带动了周庄的旅游业的发展。
水乡风景、音乐人物、古典仕女，还有西藏，都是他画笔下的主要题材。早在1985年，美国《纽约时报》
就称陈逸飞的“画风融合了写实主义和浪漫主义，让人想起欧洲大师的名作。”1983年，哈默画廊的主人
哈默博士在向世人推介陈逸飞时，撰文指出：“他的画是接近诗的，因为他只是在指示而非肯定。”1984
Lot 1713 年，美国《艺术新闻》杂志将陈逸飞定名为“一个浪漫的写实主义者，作品流露强烈的怀旧气息，弥漫其
中的沉静与静寂氛围尤其动人。”
陈逸飞油画作品的最大特点，在于画面上弥漫着宁静和平和，在写实主义中渗透着中国传统的美感。无论
是描绘江南水乡的风景还是生动传神的女子肖像，陈逸飞在众多表现女性画家当中则是出类拔萃的，忧
伤、哀怨、典雅、凄美，一位位古典美人从他的画中走来。
2005年逝世。

Born in 1946 in Zhenhai, Zhejiang Province, he graduated from Shanghai Fine Arts College
in 1965 and joined the oil painting and sculpture studio of the Shanghai Academy of Painting,
where he was the head of the oil painting group. 1980, he studied in the United States and
received his master's degree in 1984. He was mainly engaged in oil painting until the 1990s,
when he entered the business world and founded the Yifei Group. As a painter, he created
well-known and excellent oil paintings such as "Ode to the Yellow River", "Occupation of the
Presidential Palace" and "Pacing" in the 1960s~1970s.
