       €Jonas Woodഃᖵஔ࢕ٙॲߒ Karma ೥఼࢝̈٤ගʕdʦʜᘆٙЪۜႺ್ίΐf                 has been influenced by her oil painter father, and has
        வЗ 80 ܝ˚͉ɾ׌ᖵஔ࢕աՉذ೥࢕˨ፋʦʜॆшٙᅂᚤdІʃఃฌᖵஔfμ                        loved art since she was a child. She finished her PhD

        Ⴍ΢၇΢ᅵٙɾɿ‘ʘ܆ࠦd̙Ԉᖵஔ࢕࿁̴ٙ৷ܓఃฌf݊ϣ߇שу੭Ը˸ʃ                         Imai’s children, and is often the main character for her.
        ဤމ˴ԉٙഃܙΟ̡ٙʃဤ‘d࢝ତɓࡈᐕᓹϾ๝าٙ˰ޢf                                 In her paintings, the bear is anthropomorphised, and is
                                                                     combined with the fun of a melodrama, with a variety of
        ೥Ъʕdʦʜᘆ˸าಅeาරЍ੹୚ጰήࣰଣࣲಉٙ˝ሯ७ଣdԨ˸࢕Ոזڗٙҳ                         emotions. This theme is so iconic that it was chosen as
        ᅂ̷Ѷ࢝ତોΈٙࢺ್ՑԸfμνΝΙ൥ݼɓছ͊຾ᐞུٙഅᙃഗɛ׳ᕦτඅٙช                         the cover of her catalogue, demonstrating the artist’s

                                                 ᘚٙഅجᜑ੻ᕦழ̙ɹf         In the painting, Imai delicately combed the wood texture
                                                 ຅ሔՑՉഅɨԟԬႰɛ          of the table and chairs with warm brown and yellow
                                                 ٙ࠮يdʦʜᘆ͂ሳή          colours, and used the elongated projection of the
                                                 Ⴍj˜ν؈Ңਗ਼Ο̡೥ٙ         furniture to subtly show the quiet arrival of the morning
                                                 ˄ཀልᕏd̴޶ৎԸఱ          light. Her impressionistic, unadorned brushstrokes give
                                                 ྅टೊədˀϾೌجʵ          the impression of relaxation, as if entering a room filled
                                                 ৎ࠮ᅎ™dɓ࢝᙮׵ɾ׌         with sunlight. At the dining table, a cream-coloured bear
                                                 ᖵஔ࢕୚ጰٙ௴Ъ౽ᅆf         sits in a chair as if waiting patiently for breakfast. Its
                                                 ʦʜᘆ˸͎ፋձᖵஔ࢕          round black eyes look out of the painting, as if it is politely
                                                 ٙᕐࠠԒ΅̈೯d୚ː          saying thank you. On the white porcelain plate with a
                                                 ήࣉ࣍˚੬ʕ๝ᙚϾᔷ          floral pattern, the lightly browned golden surface of the
                                                 ᐛу஻ٙۀԟd྅݊ί          toast is soft and tasty thanks to the misty brushwork.
