studied at the Department of Japanese Literature at the Imperi-al College of Japan in 1983.

古元（1919-1996） 广东中山人。擅长木刻、水彩画。1938年赴延安，先后在陕北公学、鲁迅艺术学院学习，后到农村参加基
GU YUAN 层工作，业余进行木刻创作，参加1942年在重庆举办的全国木刻展览会，徐悲鸿先生撰文称赞古元作品。
他创作了不少反映陕北人民生活的作品，被选为陕甘宁边区文教代表，并授予甲等奖。1951年创作新年画

《毛主席和农民谈话》，获中央文化部颁发的新年画二等奖。曾参加革命博物馆的历史画创作。历任人民
美术出版社创作室主任，中央美术学院教授、院长，中国美术家协会副主席，中国版画家协会副主席、北
京水彩画研究会名誉会长。作品有《减租会》、《烧毁旧地契》、《人桥》、《刘志丹和赤卫军》、《枣
园灯光》等。出版有《古元木刻选》、《古元水彩画选》等。

Born in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. He was good at wood carving and watercolors.
He went to Yan’an to learn and work in the village and did his wood carving in his spare time.
He created a lot of works that reflect the life of Shanbei people and he was chosen to be the
representative of Shan, Gan, Ning district. He was the director of People’s Fine Art Press,
president of China Central Academy of Fine Arts and the vice-chairman of Chinese Artists
Association.

1942年出生于日本埼玉县，1968年于多摩美术大学油画系获得美术学位，师承艺术家斎藤义重和高松次
郎。毕业后以物派的代表人物，活跃于国际间的艺术展览。物派，直译物的流派，是日本战后现代艺术的
象征性团体，而关根伸夫于1968年创作的“位相—大地”，被广泛认为是物派运动的起源，也是当时最具
代表性的日本艺术创作之一，对亚洲地区日后的大地、装置、极简艺术发展有显著深远的影响。关根伸夫
的作品深受禅宗哲学的启发，将拓扑学(位相几何学)的理论结合艺术实验，探讨物事经过变形却不变质的
