                                 figures and flowers are different from posed models or still-life forms, and are everywhere
                                 vibrant, living, emotional expressions, and Rohr is good at capturing his own perceptions
                                 and emotions about life, as well as his care for humanity, life, and friends. Therefore, in his
                                 works, it is in these ordinary still lives and landscapes that he can see his feelings and infinite
                                 thoughts about life in the world.,Some people attribute Luo's painting style to Impressionism
                                 and others to Fauvism, but more people regard him as "the first Chinese Expressionist", who
                                 started the Expressionist style of Chinese oil painting. Rational works certainly make people
                                 think and thus gain intellectual satisfaction, but sensual works can better reflect aesthetic
                                 pleasure and emotional resonance, and Luo Erchun's works are as sensual as this. In these
                                 pure oil paintings, the simple colors and flowing brushstrokes imply the hardships of life and

       倪贻德 (1901-1970)           1901年出生于浙江杭州。1919年考入上海美术专科学校,1922年毕业于上海美术专科学校,留校任教,
       NI YIDE                   致力于美术理论和绘画技法的研究,常在校刊《美术》和其他报刊上发表有独特见解的美术理论和作品评
                                 论,积极介绍国外先进绘画艺术。1923年参加“创造社”进行文学创作,在文坛上崭露头角,成为后起之

                                 秀。受郁达夫的自我抒情小说的影响颇大。1927年留学日本,入东京川端画学校学画,1928年回国,先后
                                 在广东、武昌和上海等地从事美术教育。1932年与庞薰琹等人发起组织“决澜社”,并参加1932年至1935
                                 年期间的决澜社四次展览活动。1938年入郭沫若主持的政治部第三厅任美术科代科长。1945年与林风眠、
                                 庞薰琹等人在重庆举办了“现代绘画展览”。任教于上海美术专科学校、国立艺术专科学校。新中国成立
                                 后历任中央美术学院华东分院副院长、中国美术家协会常任理事、浙江美术家协会副主席等职。对中西绘
                                 画理论都有深邃的研究,早年曾有西洋画概论、水彩画研究等著作。对引进欧洲绘画理论和绘画技法和发
                                 展我国的油画事业起了一定的推进作用。出版有《画人行脚》等。


                                 Ni Yide, was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. He graduated from Shanghai Academy of
                                 Fine Arts in 1922 and stayed to teach and research art theory and painting techniques. He
                                 frequently published art critiques and introduced new techniques from abroad. In 1927 he was
                                 admitted to Kawabata School of Fine Arts in Tokyo. He returned to China in 1928 to teach in
                                 Guangdong, Wuchang and Shanghai. In 1932 he co-founded the Storm Society and exhibited in
                                 the 4 group shows between 1932 and 1935. He served as prossefor at Shanghai Academy of Art,
                                 National School of Fine Art, and after 1949 he has been vice president of Central Academy of
                                 Fine Art Huadong Branch, director of China Artists Association and vice president of Zhejiang
                                 Artists Association. He was a ciritcal figure in introducing Western painting theories and
                                 techniques into China."
